GSA is seeking qualified Commissioning Agents that have a technical background and in-depth expertise with the commissioning process, including verification techniques, functional performance testing, system equipment and O&M knowledge. The Commissioning Agent must have significant in-building commissioning experience, including technical and management expertise on projects of similar scope, size and type. Further the CxA shall bring a total building commissioning perspective to the project, be knowledgeable in national building fire codes, as well as water-based extinguishing systems, detection systems, LEED, energy efficiency imperatives and demonstrate experience with Federal requirements (i.e. blast, progressive collapse, security, etc.).
The intent of this project is to upgrade and modernize the Main Port Building. The scope of this work includes replacement of the roof, windows, ceiling systems, light fixtures, renovation of rest rooms, painting of the facility, upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems. The intent of this project is also to replace the Commercial Inspection Building, replace the existing primary and secondary inspection canopies, lane and booth enhancement and construction of a non-commercial secondary inspection building.
