Video – Sources Sought – Harris Creek Tred Avon Oyster Bar Creation – USACE

This webinar is a short, hands-on, interactive workshop that will break down a specific opportunity and help you form a response to a Sources Sought notification. If your company supports NAICS 237990, or other related NAICS, then you should attend.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting capability statements from all qualified and interested parties from SBA Certified 8(a) Firms, Certified HubZone Firms, Women Owned Small Businesses, and Service Disabled-Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB) for the proposed work described below:

Project Title: Harris Creek and Tred Avon Oyster Bar Creation off the Choptank River, Maryland.

Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.

The magnitude of construction is estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

The creation of the oyster bars will be performed mechanically to allow placement to occur close to the bottom. Placement will be with clean stone and/or clean mixed shell obtained, delivered and placed into designated sites, and constructed to specified heights.

The stone will be specified and approved by the Corps. The material should be placed onto barges and delivered to Harris Creek where it will be placed onto areas about minus 6-9 feet mean lower low water. Some areas in the Tred Avon may be deeper than 9 feet mean lower low water. Some of the material may have to be mounded.

The contractor will have to find the supply of shell and identify the source in the response to this sources sought notice.

The contractor must have access to equipment to perform this operation to include purchase, delivery, and placement. This should include barges, offloading equipment and support vessels. The period of performance will be about 180 days and will begin in the fall. Potential respondents should be familiar with Government submittals and requirements such as the current safety manual.
